Hosted by the College of Arts & Sciences at UMSL, this immersive experience will explore the real-world impact of the May 16th tornado that hit St. Louis, through the eyes of criminologists, economists, political scientists, and sociologists.

In a fast-paced, multimedia format, faculty experts will break down the event from four different angles, revealing how social science helps us understand crisis, recovery, and resilience in our communities. Then it’s your turn: you’ll join small-group discussions led by current students to tackle a compelling, big-picture question that ties it all together.
